Exciting challenges for young people with corresponding skills and knowledge
The first of October was the big day for students Peter, Felix and Sai – the start of their term of industrial practice at HIGHVOLT Prüftechnik Dresden GmbH. They will be working in the technical department, where everything revolves around high voltages, high currents and the associated test systems. Life today would be unthinkable without electricity. Not only private consumers, but also the economy as a whole demands enormous amounts of electrical energy. In most cases, this electricity cannot be generated precisely where it is needed, and must often be transported over considerable distances. The manufacturers and operators of energy transmission systems, for example high-voltage cables and power transformers, are typical customers of HIGHVOLT.

HIGHVOLT, a global supplier of high voltage testing systems, is now also able to present its extensive spectrum of products and services to Internet users in the Spanish and French languages. At www.highvolt.de, customers, business partners and other interested visitors are able to obtain the latest information on high voltage testing systems, measuring equipment and diverse service offers from HIGHVOLT in a choice of six languages.
User-friendly high-voltage test systems for on-site testing are of great interest for the Chinese cable industry
The long-standing German company HIGHVOLT Prüftechnik Dresden has been successful on the Asian markets for many years. Special mention must here be made of the cooperation with the Chinese measurement technology manufacturer Sindia Instruments Company. The two companies will be presenting their latest developments at this year's Wire & Tube China, which will take place from 24 to 27 September in Shanghai.
Students from Kaiserslautern in Germany get a taste of working life at HIGHVOLT
Dresden, 5. September 2014On September 2, professor Karsten Glöser and sixteen of his electrical engineering students from the Kaiserslautern Technical College in Germany visited HIGHVOLT Prüftechnik GmbH Dresden. “We are committed to supporting practical training for students,” says Dr. Ralf Bergmann, managing director of HIGHVOLT. “It is important that during their studies students already gain first experiences of how to use their expertise and technical curiosity to contribute to the success of companies like HIGHVOLT.”
HIGHVOLT will be showing its AD3000 transient recorder at the Cigré 2014 Session
Cigré in Paris is the world's leading event in the area of energy systems. With 8,000 attendees in 2014, according to the organizer, Cigré is a "must-see," even for HIGHVOLT. "The conference and associated exhibits are extremely important for us. This is where we learn everything about the newest technological and technical developments. We can also catch up on the state of international standardization," says Thomas Steiner, Technical Director at HIGHVOLT.
