Martin Dulig caught up on the positive company development in recent years during his visit to HIGHVOLT on 28 November. He was particularly impressed by how HIGHVOLT has managed to stay among the best in the world for many years despite strong international competition. "The innovative strength of our companies forms the basis for the success of the Saxon economy on international markets. The development of HIGHVOLT GmbH demonstrates one example of how companies doing research and development also rank higher in terms of success," says the Minister.

"A crucial success factor is the development work we constantly do in the areas of opportunity that we systematically uncover," confirms managing director Bernhard Nick. HIGHVOLT also benefits from the well-situated higher education landscape in Saxony. The cooperative efforts are diverse, ranging from joint research projects, providing internship slots and to advising on the thesis work and student projects.

HIGHVOLT considers itself a key partner of the energy sector both in terms of the security of supply with electrical energy as well as helping to shape the exit from nuclear and fossil-fuel energy.

"Every plant for generating and transmitting electric power at high voltages and high currents must comply with a number of demanding safety requirements that are internationally binding. We supply the right high-voltage test systems that our customers use to test and monitor their plants appropriately, thereby ensuring their quality," explains managing director Dr. Ralf Bergmann.
