One of the products from HIGHVOLT in very high demand worldwide is the test system for power transformers with frequency converter (photo: WV 620-1000/80).
During his talk, Dan Keller presented the benefits of fully automatic test sequences and the modular design of these systems amongst others.
Since 1986, scientists of the 'High Voltage' research group in Cali, Columbia, have been able to use a university-run high voltage test hall for research and development. They intend to be using it to contribute to improving the quality and reliability of the equipment and materials that are being used in the Columbian electricity sector.
The anniversary was the occasion for a top-class, international seminar. One of the speakers was HIGHVOLT engineer Dan Keller who presented the latest developments in the field of transformer tests.
“I was very pleased to receive the invitation from Mr Guillermo Aponte Mayor to this exclusive event, and the appreciation this showed of our technical work,” says Keller. “Furthermore, the talks also confirmed that especially the high quality, but also sturdiness and user-friendly operation of our test systems are held in very high regard.”
