The DC system GEM 30/800, which can be seen in the background, is manufactured by HIGHVOLT to generate high DC voltages up to 800 kV.
“This year, too, our participation at the fair was a success in every respect,” says HIGHVOLT engineer Stefan Schierig, who had every reason to be satisfied when summing up the company's attendance at wire 2014.
“We were able to welcome not only many longstanding business partners to our stand, but also a good number of new customers. The topics discussed ranged from the special aspects of medium-voltage cable testing, via the use of mobile testing systems, through to the intelligent networking of test systems in complex cable test bays.”
The trade fair “wire”, which was held in Düsseldorf from 7th to 11th April, is the international flagship fair for cable and wire specialists.
Ever greater importance is being attached to questions concerning quality assurance in manufacturing and the use of high and medium-voltage cables. HIGHVOLT serves branch needs with products such as resonant test systems with variable frequency, which are ideally suited for both on-site tests and the factory testing of particularly long cables.
