Dr. Ralf Bergmann and Bernhard Nick are taking over management responsibility at
HIGHVOLT Prüftechnik Dresden GmbH as of 1st June 2013.
Dr. Ralf Bergmann (48) and Bernhard Nick (44) have been appointed joint managing directors of HIGHVOLT Prüftechnik Dresden GmbH, effective 1st June 2013.
Together, they are successors to Dr. Bernd Kübler (65) who is resigning from his management position after eleven successful years and will be entering a well-earned retirement on 30th September 2013.
Bergmann studied electrical engineering at the Dresden University of Technology and obtained a doctorate in the field of high-voltage and high-current technologies. He has been head of sales responsible for international business development at HIGHVOLT since 2003. His previous positions include project manager in technology and sales/marketing at Siemens.
Nick majored in electrical engineering at Bundeswehr University Munich and completed a postgraduate degree in engineering management through the University of Hagen. He joined Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH in 1998 and was involved in the company's core operations, most recently as head of OEM sales. He went on to be appointed manager of the Power Quality (PQ) division in 2010 and additionally took over management responsibility for the Power Distribution (PD) division in 2012.
“HIGHVOLT has grown enormously over the past years. We are innovative world leaders in the field of high-voltage and high-current testing, and our turnover has increased from around €8 million in 2002 to approx. €50 million last year,” says Bergmann, emphasizing the positive development of the company. “We have also set ambitious targets for the coming years. By reinforcing the management team, HIGHVOLT is well equipped for the future.”
“We have customers all over the world, and more than 90% of our sales come from exports. With a market share of 35%, HIGHVOLT is number one in its industry,” Nick adds. “We will maintain our successful strategies in order to further cement HIGHVOLT's leading position in the world market.”
