Remote factory and site acceptance tests - How the last months changed our way of working
Date: 21.04.2021
Time: 2 pm CEST - 8 am EST - 8 pm SGT

June 2020, we successfully launched the HIGHVOLT Web Talk series. Now we like to start the Spring Season with a recollection of a remarkable year. COVID-19 is on everyone's lips and we discuss how the pandemic has changed the way we work in recent months. To summarize: it was a hurdle race! HIGHVOLT was able to establish the right measures to keep the Engineering and the Manufacturing & Testing up running. And how do we get the customer convinced that we have done our job with excellence when they cannot travel to Dresden? Remote factory acceptance tests were something we agreed with a lot of our customers. Going down some bumpy road, meanwhile video FAT is as efficient as classical FAT. The next hurdle was how to install up 400 t of equipment on another continent, if we cannot send sufficient people there? Here remote engineering support from Dresden combined with excellent on-site staff from HIGHVOLT and our customers was the solution. We like to combine our learnings with the experiences of our customers to give you new insights, how complex technologies and projects can be managed.
