Around 40 power engineering specialists joined a factory tour at HIGHVOLT in Dresden to learn more about the company's latest product developments for the field of high-voltage testing.

The group comprised representatives of universities, energy suppliers and the transformer industry, as well as manufacturers of high-voltage measuring systems and insulation components.

“The visitors were especially interested in our mobile systems for on-site cable testing and in the transformer measuring system LiMOS,” said sales manager Dr. Alexander Kraetge. “Another focus of attention was a modular DC test system for the Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences, which is currently undergoing trials in our test hall,” he continues.

Professor Kay Rethmeier from Kiel University of Applied Sciences added: “The factory tour was not the only highlight. HIGHVOLT at the same time offered us a forum for exchanges on experiences gained. We enjoyed a number of very good discussions.”

HIGHVOLT Prüftechnik Dresden GmbH had invited the participants at the 4th ETG Interfaces Conference in Dresden to a reception on the evening before the conference opened. The conference was organised by the Power Engineering Society (ETG) at VDE.
