HV engineer Stefan Bergmann gave a presentation which placed a focus on the manifold applications of high-voltage AC testing with variable frequency.
Sales engineer Stefan Bergmann and the HIGHVOLT representative for the US market, John Herron, were sought-after discussion partners during the CEATI Workshop. The topic which dominated questions from the attending cable manufacturers and power supply companies was the range of AC test systems with variable frequency offered by HIGHVOLT.
“HIGHVOLT is a pioneer in this field. We already launched the first test systems operating with variable frequency back in 1998,” said Bergmann, spotlighting HIGHVOLT's unique success story to date, before going on to explain: “Many of our customers test high voltage cables to IEC standards. Thanks to our technology, it is possible to test cables of the most varied lengths and diameters with a single test system. This is especially interesting for the on-site testing of cables which have already been laid. Variation of the frequency permits setting of the individually appropriate resonance point.”
