This year, Friederike Thomas will be receiving the HIGHVOLT Award, worth €1,000. The accolade pays tribute to the hard work which the electrical engineering graduate at Technische Universität Dresden put into her thesis on the topic of “Development of an algorithm for optimal, stable rises in the characteristic curves of generating plant employing voltage and reactive power control systems”.
Thomas Steiner, Technical Director at HIGHVOLT, presented the award on 8 November, an open day at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at TU Dresden. “As a technology company, it is especially important to us to promote excellent education in the field of engineering”, Steiner stated firmly.
